The Revealed Sermon
FRUITS DIVINE-bearing unsurpassable excellence-are easily distinguishable from man-made creations. This is evident in Khutbah Ilhamiyyah (‘The Revealed Sermon’), which was revealed to Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah (as), on 11 April 1900, during Eid-ul-Adha. The extemporaneous address was delivered in Arabic with such incomparable eloquence and elegance that it could only be Divine, well beyond the capacity of a mere mortal. Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) himself attested to this, stating that he was not speaking but that the words were coming from a Divine source.
The Khutbah was later published in August 1901 and was translated into Persian and Urdu by the Promised Messiah (as) himself. When published, renowned scholars of the Arabic language were stunned to chance upon its incomparable language and deeply profound insights.
Khutbah Ilhamiyyah is a must-read for anyone seeking to behold a Divine miracle in all its grandeur and glory. It succinctly presents the essence of sacrifice, the state of the world, and the need for a Divine Reformer. The Promised Messiah (as) claimed to be that Reformer sent by Allah-the light for this age of spiritual darkness.
